I worked my student apprenticeship with Smith's Industries, the aerospace to motor industry company and one of the useful documents I retained was a set of the standard information on screw threads and drill sizes etc. etc. Most of the world has moved on but the information is still of use to people who restore or repair old equipment so before it is lost for ever I've put it here.
